Insurance

I am considered an "out of network" (OON) provider and do not accept insurance at this time.   You are responsible for payment at the time of service.  Although I don't work directly with insurance companies, many insurance plans offer OON benefits -- you just have to ask! I can provide an itemized receipt (also called a superbill) that you may submit directly to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

Payment

I accept all major credit cards as forms of payment.  Payment is made through your patient portal via SimplePractice.   You will be asked to fill out a form with your credit card information prior to the first session. Payment is due at the time of the session.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 48 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.

Good Faith Estimate

Before meeting with me, I will provide a “Good Faith Estimate” which is part of the No Surprises Act (H.R. 133) that took effect on January 1, 2022. This law applies to all heath care providers and is intended to prevent consumers from receiving unanticipated medical bills. This Good Faith Estimate will include fee (agreed upon in advance), service codes (standard is 50-minute sessions), and diagnostic codes as determined/relevant. Any estimate provided is just that — an estimate — since I cannot know in advance how long we will work together. However, I am happy to provide any and all information that helps with understanding and anticipating any costs associated with working with me.
